HEALTH & LIFESTYLE: HOW I LOST 5Kgs IN TWO WEEKS!
WELCOME BACK TO BWIZA BWA MASHIRA!
Mwaramutse/Muraho/Mwirirwe...
It has been a while since I posted, I've been overwhelmed with work, school and a lot of other changes. However, I'm back! Sorry for the long wait but here is another piece I've been working on for a while! I have been experimenting and trying new diets, lifestyle changes as well as workouts! With the help of research, assessment and action plans I finally fixed my own concoction for fast results and the body that I always wanted.
It really helped me, especially when I didn't want to spend hours in the gym or try unhealthy eating patterns. As a result, I actually lost 5.6kgs in less than 2 weeks!!
🚫WARNING: IF YOU ARE NOT IN GOOD HEALTH PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS.
📝 KEY THINGS TO NOTE:
- This diet/ exercise is not 100% guaranteed to make you loose exactly 5kgs. It really depends on your metabolism and how your body works. Everyone has a different body type so if you don't get the exact results or results you wanted, don't be too hard on yourself.
- If you have health issues or any other impending problems with your body. I can not stress this enough, do not partake in this.
- Consistency is key. I would really like to urge you all who will be partaking to not give up as the results are pretty awesome!
- Dully note that you'll have to eliminate the following for most of the time; no dairy, no fats, no cheat days, no sugar.
💥SO, LET'S BEGIN!⇓
🍴🍲 DIETING:
For this aspect of the experiment I integrated two diets, the military diet and the water diet along with other methods to get fast results such as; apple cider vinegar, lemon water and lots and lots of tea.
- The military diet is basically a simple calorie intake type of diet. The idea is to burn more calories than you consume. For example, a woman on average needs to consume 2000 calories in a day and a man, 2500 calories a day. Therefore, if you take in less calories, you lose weight. The military is usually a 3 day diet, I used it for my first 3 days in the first week and 3 days in my second week.military diet link
- I moved on to the water die/ water fast for the remaining days, but with a twist. To do this, I consumed 5 liters a day of water. I would take 4 cups of water in the morning to fasten up my metabolism then, I would still eat however, I would have no sugar, no dairy and no fats.water diet link
- Apple cider vinegar water was also another method I would use if I forgot to take enough water. Apple cider vinegar water has plenty of health benefits such as losing belly fat, lowering cholesterol, killing bacteria and is also good for your skin! It helps burn calories and fats very fast. Pour one and half table spoons into a glass of water and take it after a meal or before bed.
- Lemon water also helps in various ways. I am not the biggest fan of the way water tastes. So, to spice things up, I would slice some lemons and put them in luke warm water. lemon water helped with feeling full and to fasten up metabolism.
- Tea! I love tea so this was one of the easiest parts for me. On some evenings where I didn't feel like chugging lots of water I would have 2 cups of herbal tea, I would add cayenne pepper, ginger and lemon. This can be any herbal tea, my favorite is hibiscus. Do not do this with green tea.
🏃CARDIO+!
For cardio I didn't really focus on anything to do with weight lifting or to build muscle. I was focusing on calorie and fat burning. I integrated Aerobics, HIIT exercises, yoga and some body weight training for a little toning.
- Cardio is a great to break a sweat and get fast results. It not only helps burn calories but in toning and losing weight fast. I usually do 25-30 mins of running on the treadmill, 5 sets of skipping rope and 25 mins of level 7 intensity stationery cycling. I would recommend with cardio, to pace yourself and figure out where you are most comfortable, don't push too hard. I would also recommend working out in warm clothes so you burn even more!
- Aerobics are a great way to break routine and move around. There are many videos on YouTube if you would like to do it alone. Although, I would suggest joining an aerobics class as it is more engaging. In case you don't want to do cardio this is also a good alternative.
- HIIT also known as Highly Intensive Interval Training is a type of workout that burns calories very fast. It is usually used by athletes and sportsmen to get in shape fast. They usually vary from 7 mins to 30 mins and should be done at least 3 times in a week. They have proven for me very effective and again warm clothes!24min HIIT workout
- I first knew of body weight training from an app called "freeletics". Body weight training is basically building muscle using your own body weight. This is usually done by using you own weight to provide resistance against gravity. It is pretty intense but very effective for toning and building muscle. However, I didn't do body weight training until after the 2 weeks, it is still a good way of building muscle without having to lift weights.
All in all, this process yarikomeye but it was definitely worth it. I feel confident and the results are pretty bomb! I really urge you to be consistent, not give up and think of the outcome and benefits that come with it!
